Workshops for cultural exchange

During our stay in Bergen (Norway) we had two workshops.

The owners of Northing space organized and ran those workshops. We are not good at this kind of planning. We are not good at these kinds of projects, because we don't have a good idea how to connect our work and skills to the happiness of many people. But they are always coming up with ideas to connect people. We are very grateful.

On February 14, 2023, we held a Sushi Making Workshop at Bergen Assembly. It was a wonderful experience to make and taste sushi with Norwegian people, and we were very happy that everyone enjoyed making sushi. We would like to continue to increase cultural exchange through food.

On February 18, 2023, we also held a papermaking workshop at Northing Space. This workshop was also filled to capacity. We had a great time making paper. Paper is one of the most important material for us. Its history is long and its convenience is immeasurable. However, it is surprisingly simple. Paper originated in China and spread throughout the world. Paper culture flourished in Japan as well, and it is no exaggeration to say that everything in our daily lives is made of wood and paper. (In Japan, even doors are made of paper!) Over the course of its long history, paper has developed very different characteristics in Europe and Asia. It is a great pleasure that Norwegian people are interested in paper. We were impressed by how well Norwegians were able to enjoy. We look forward to having the opportunity to enjoy this simple and therefore elusive material with you again.
